Clinical Supervision

The ability to reflect on clinical intervention, decision making, client progress and one's own emotional and mental state is a key aspect of enhancing self awareness, self confidence and critical thinking.

Feedback  is provided throughout the supervision process to help improve supervise competencies.  Key aspects of feedback and guidance relate to intervention, skill building, data entry and adherence to ethical guidelines. 

 Supervisees are encouraged to develop a professional development plan with their supervisor which ensures that therapists stay on target with respect to their professional development goals. 

Therapists are encouraged to discuss challenging cases, ethical dilemmas, issues around clients and their families and any personal emotional stressors during supervision  that may hinder intervention with clients.
